Setup and support
- Open Netflix in desktop Chrome and start a movie or episode.
- Turn on Chinese or English subtitles in Netflix’s Audio & Subtitles menu.
- Open the extension and choose one of the thirteen styles.
- Move Subtitle height to place captions higher or lower; try the English font menu.
Two languages
Choose Chinese in Netflix, play briefly, then choose English. If Netflix loads both as supported text, the extension can display both in this tab. If a track is unlabeled, use the Chinese or English label buttons. If only one track is available, only that language can be displayed.
No subtitles?
If no subtitles appear, choose the subtitle language again in Netflix's Audio & Subtitles menu. You may need to do this once or twice, then let the video play for a few seconds.
Keep Netflix’s own subtitles enabled. Reload Netflix after installing or updating. Read the connection status in the popup. Some caption formats are unsupported.
Fullscreen
Use Netflix’s fullscreen control. Video-element-only fullscreen can hide web overlays.
Reset or clear
Reset this print restores its defaults. Clear loaded tracks removes captions loaded for this tab. Reloading Netflix clears loaded captions. Removing the extension removes its local settings.
